This notice explains how Clara Vale Studio uses cookies and similar technologies on https://claravale.studio. It adds detail to our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and pixels. We use “cookies” here to mean all of these.
The types we use
Essential
These are needed for the website to work, for example to remember your cookie choices, keep you signed in, or complete a checkout. The site may not work properly without them.
Analytics
We use PostHog to understand how visitors use our website, such as which pages are visited, which calculators are used, and where people leave. PostHog may set cookies or use browser storage, and it may process your IP address, device and browser details, and pages viewed.
We use this information to improve the website and our products. We do not intentionally send the values you enter into our calculators to PostHog.
Calculators
Our calculators run in your browser. Some may save your inputs in your browser’s local storage so they are still there when you come back. That data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
Third-party services
Some pages may load services from other companies, such as our payment provider at checkout, our Substack newsletter signup, or embedded content. These companies may set their own cookies under their own policies. Marketplaces such as Etsy, Amazon, Patreon, and Skool use their own cookies when you visit their sites.
We do not use advertising cookies on our website at this time. If that changes, we will update this notice and ask for consent where required.
Your choices
- Cookie settings. Where the law requires consent, such as for visitors in the EEA or UK, we will ask before setting non-essential cookies. Where we offer a cookie settings option on our website, you can change your choice there at any time.
- Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
- Global Privacy Control. Where required by law, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
Changes
We may update this notice when our tools or practices change. The “updated” date shows when it last changed.
